| Local Businesswoman Named Pinnacle of Leadership Winner |
Leadership Orange honored Adria Goldman Gross, FIPC, owner and President of MedWise Billing, Inc, as its 2009 Pinnacle of Leadership Award Winner in late September. Ms. Gross is a 2005 graduate of the Leadership Orange.
This is the fifth year that Leadership Orange has presented the Pinnacle of Leadership Award to a Leadership Orange graduate who demonstrates the principles of leadership through their actions and adherence to the highest ethics within the community.
Adria Goldman Gross, is a New York State-Licensed Insurance Broker and has over 20-years experience in the insurance business. She began her career as a Claims Examiner for Access America, a subsidiary of Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and then went on to Claims and Underwriting for American International Group. Over the years, she has worked extensively with the medical community and numerous insurance companies handling Medical Billing.
At the awards ceremony, Ms. Gross spoke candidly about her earlier years when a severe medical condition hindered her from pursuing some of her dreams, how she overcame the serious disability, and her achievements and success over the past twenty years.
“Ms Gross is an outstanding member of the Leadership Orange program and has a long list of accomplishments in her community,” said Teresa Gurdineer, President of the program. “Ms. Gross is known as a leader who knows the meaning of giving back to the community and inspiring others to do the same.”
Ms. Gross has been a key initiator in establishing the first YMCA in the Town of Monroe. The YMCA is scheduled to open in 2010. In 2008, Ms. Gross received the Insurance Professional of the Year Award from The Federation of New York Insurance Professionals of Orange County.
Ms. Gross, is the CEO of MedWise Billing, Inc., an insurance billing and consulting service which evaluates Medicare, Medicaid and private health insurance liens and medical reports in personal injury cases. MedWise Billing, Inc., prepares and manages billing for health providers. MedWise Billing, Inc. also advocates for individual insureds to resolve medical billing issues.
